The Municipality of Korçë and the Municipal Council of Korçë held public consultation meetings to a pprove the Local Municipal Action Plan for Energy and Climate 2023-2040. Two consultative meetings took place on July 16, 2024, at 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM, in the Municipal Council Hall, Municipality of Korçë. These meetings were attended by members of the Korçë municipal council, representatives from various interest groups, representatives from the administrative units of the Korçë municipality, and energy experts.

During the meeting, project experts presented a general overview of the plan, followed by discussions on various specific issues of the plan. The comments and questions raised will accompany the report presented to the municipal council for plan approval. Media and local TV attended the meetings.

The Local Action Plan for Energy and Climate (MECAP) is a comprehensive strategy developed by the municipal administration to improve sustainable energy management and help mitigate the impacts of climate change within its jurisdiction.
